The inn is an elegant Victorian inn that sits upon a lovely garden setting with wide rocker-lined veranda's, and large rooms that are lavishing and comfortably furnished with fourteen foot ceilings. The inn used to be an exclusive gambling club, but the host has turned it into a wonderful place for guests to unwind after a day of shopping and sightseeing in Cape May. The inn is a landmark within a National Historic Landmark town and is only a few steps away from many activities. There is a piano for all musical guests and three sitting rooms for any guests that likes to relax. Guests can enjoy the full breakfast that is served in the fall, and the summer breakfast that is served buffet style for either indoor or veranda dining. The inn also offers daily hot or iced tea, homemade sweets, fresh fruit, and tea sandwiches for guests to indulge in during their stay. All rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, alarm clock radio, cable TV, ceiling fan, complimentary coffee, daily newspaper, hair dryer, Internet, and a smoke detector. The charming rooms of The Mainstay Inn offer views of the surrounding area and guests can feel free to relax and unwind in the spacious rooms. After 40 minutes it turns into Route 47 south and then 347 south and back to 47 south. Follow 47 south to the Garden State Parkway south.
