Location. The Bridge Street House is located in the center of Lambertville, N.J., 40 miles northwest of Philadelphia. Occupying a spot on a quiet, tree-lined street, this bed and breakfast is in the center of town. A short two-block walk past Victorian houses and Federal row homes will bring guests to a number of antique shops, art galleries and restaurants on Main Street or Union Street. On the Riverfront three blocks to the west is the Riverside Symphonia and the Delaware and Raritan State Park, which offers recreational opportunities for walking, jogging, biking and cross-country skiing.
Hotel Features. This pre-Victorian, federal-style row home is furnished in a variety of antique pieces, and has a fireplace in the parlor. Business services at the Bridge Street House include wireless Internet access, guest laptop, fax service and notary services. An expanded continental breakfast consisting of homemade breads or muffins, fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee, tea and juice is served daily in the parlor, rear courtyard, or in the guestrooms upon request. Assorted snacks, beverages and chocolates are always available, and in the evening the innkeepers offer wine and cheese.
Guestrooms. Each non-smoking guestroom at the Bridge Street House is decorated with Victorian antique furnishings. All guestrooms are equipped with cable television and air conditioning, and have their own private bathrooms. Specialty amenities including bathrobes and complimentary English soaps are provided.
Expert Tip. The Lambertville Historical Society opens its headquarters, the James William Marshall House Museum, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. every weekend from April- October. The house features original furnishings from 1834 in addition to a shad fishing exhibit and antique quilt displays.
